The Senate Committee on State Affairs will consider the following:

 

SB 312         Hughes                 
Relating to the fiduciary responsibility of the governing body of the public retirement systems in this state and the investment managers and proxy advisors acting on behalf of those systems.

SB 945         Hughes                 
Relating to the adoption of political shareholder proposals by insurers and insurer holding companies.

SB 946         Hughes                 
Relating to the prohibition on certain discrimination in the extension of credit to organizations based on social credit or value-based standards.

SB 1367        Hughes                 
Relating to the appointment, duties, and removal of the state prosecuting attorney.

SB 1861        Hughes                 
Relating to the appointment of a special prosecutor by the court of criminal appeals for certain criminal cases.

SB 2044        Bettencourt            
Relating to the regulation of certain political communications, a prohibition on electioneering by school district and open-enrollment charter school officials and employees, and actions and other proceedings by a public school challenging the operations of the public school system; authorizing an administrative penalty; creating a criminal offense.

SB 2337        Hughes                 
Relating to the provision of proxy advisory services in connection with certain entities domiciled in this state.

SB 2403        Middleton | et al.      
Relating to the functions and duties of the Texas Ethics Commission.

SB 2819        Bettencourt            
Relating to the restrictions on political activities of a county elections administrator.

SJR 54         Birdwell               
Applying to the Congress of the United States to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution for the limited purpose of proposing one or more amendments to the constitution to impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and to limit the terms of office of federal officials and members of Congress.

Public testimony will be limited to 2 minutes. If submitting written

testimony, please provide 25 copies to the committee clerk with your name

and the bill number on each copy.
