Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Border Security was held on Thursday, February 27, 2025, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.016, at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 9:02 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

Senator Flores moved adoption of the committee rules. There being no objection, it was so ordered.

The chair called the following agency representatives to provide invited testimony on the following agencies: the Department of Public Safety, the Texas Military Department, and the Office of the Attorney General (see attached witness list).

There being no further business, at 9:58 AM Senator Birdwell moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
