The chair called the meeting to order at 9:05 AM. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The chair laid out HCR 111 and recognized the Senate sponsor, Senator Adam Hinojosa, to explain the bill.

The chair moved that the public testimony be closed; without objection, it was so ordered.

At 12:00 PM, upon suspension of Senate rules 11.10 and 11.18 Senator Hall reconvened the committee in the Senate Press Room.

 

There being a quorum and all members present, the following business was transacted:

 

Senator Menendez moved to reconsider the vote by which the local calendar for May 28, 2025, was certified. Hearing no objection, it is so ordered.

 

Senator Menendez moved to add HB 4202 to the May 28, 2025, local calendar.  Is there objection?  Hearing none it is so ordered.

 

Senator Menendez moved that the recommended list for the May 28, 2025, calendar, with the addition of HB 4202, be certified. The motion carried with a record vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.

 

There being no further business, at 12:01 PM Senator Hall moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
