Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 9, 2025 the House Committee on Environmental Regulation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Landgraf, at 11:59 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Landgraf; Ordaz; Bell, Keith; Bumgarner; Morales Shaw; Oliverson; Reynolds; and Toth.

A quorum was present.

The chair directed that the May 1, 2025 minutes for the House Committee on Environmental Regulation be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

HB 5549

The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

The chair explained HB 5549.

The chair offered a complete committee substitute. The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

The chair moved that HB 5549, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Landgraf; Ordaz; Bell, Keith; Morales Shaw; Oliverson; Reynolds; Toth (7).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Anchía; Bumgarner (2).

At 12:01 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
