Pursuant to a notice posted on August 22, 2025, the House Committee on Elections met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Shaheen, at 11:08 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Shaheen; Bucy; Isaac; Plesa; Swanson; and Wilson.

A quorum was present.

The chair recognized Representative Shaheen to explain HB 18.
