Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 13, 2025, and permission granted on May 13, 2025, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Elections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Shaheen, at 12:08 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Shaheen; Bucy; Morales Shaw; Plesa; Raymond; and Wilson.

A quorum was present.

SB 1862

The chair laid out SB 1862 as pending business.

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

The chair moved that SB 1862, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Shaheen; Bucy; Morales Shaw; Plesa; Raymond; Wilson (6).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Isaac; Swanson; Toth (3).

At 12:10 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
