Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 6, 2025, and permission granted on May 6, 2025, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Elections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Shaheen, at 7:30 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Shaheen; Bucy; Isaac; Plesa; Raymond; Swanson; Toth; and Wilson.

A quorum was present.

HB 4508

The chair laid out HB 4508 as pending business.

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

The chair moved that HB 4508, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Shaheen; Bucy; Isaac; Plesa; Raymond; Toth; Wilson (7).

Nays:                           Representative Swanson (1).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representative Morales Shaw (1).

At 7:31 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
