Pursuant to a notice posted on August 8, 2025, the House Committee on Disaster Preparedness & Flooding, Select met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative King, at 3:15 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives King; Bonnen; Darby; Louderback; Moody; Virdell; and Wilson.

Representative Darby moved that HB 1, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
