Pursuant to a notice posted on August 18, 2025, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Guillen, at 2:06 p.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Guillen; Hopper; Kitzman; Lopez, Janie; and McLaughlin.

A quorum was present.

The Chair made opening remarks.

Representative Orr was also in attendance

The committee heard invited testimony on New World Screwworm.
