Pursuant to a notice posted on March 2, 2023, and permission granted on March 8, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Culture, Recreation & Tourism met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Ashby, at 8:02 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Ashby; Martinez; Bailes; Flores; Garcia; Holland; and Morrison.

A quorum was present.

The committee met and heard testimony from Texas Parks and Wildlife, Vistra Corp., Freestone County, and Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

At 10:28 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
