Pursuant to a notice posted on May 11, 2023, the House Committee on Energy Resources met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Goldman, at 11:42 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Goldman; Morales, Eddie; Anderson; Craddick; Darby; Gerdes; Guerra; and Thierry.

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 785.

Representative Darby offered a complete committee substitute.

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

The chair moved that SB 785, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Ayes:                           Representatives Goldman; Morales, Eddie; Anderson; Craddick; Darby; Gerdes; Guerra; Thierry (8).

Nays:                           None (0).

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

Absent:                        Representatives Anchía; Bailes; Zwiener (3).

At 11:44 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
