Pursuant to a notice posted on April 6, 2023, the House Committee on Redistricting met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Darby, at 8:05 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Darby; Turner; Anchía; Cunningham; Goldman; Jetton; Lozano; Moody; Morrison; Murr; Rose; and Schofield.

The chair gave opening remarks.

 

HB 1000

 

The chair laid out HB 1000 as pending business.

 

The chair moved that HB 1000, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Darby; Cunningham; Goldman; Jetton; Landgraf; Lozano; Morrison; Murr; Schofield (9).

 

Nays:                           Representatives Turner; Anchía; Moody; Rose (4).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Campos; Thompson, Senfronia (2).

 

The vote on the motion to report HB 1000, without amendments, favorably was announced erroneously by the chair as 9 Ayes, 5 Nays, 0 Present, Not Voting. Pursuant to House Rule 5, Section 58, the vote totals above reflect the vote as actually recorded.

 

At 8:07 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
