Pursuant to a notice posted on May 8, 2023, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cain, at 11:37 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Cain; Goodwin; Harris, Cody; Kitzman; and Thimesch.

 

A quorum was present.

SB 1424

 

The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which the measure was reported from committee.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

The chair moved to reconsider the vote by which the committee substitute was adopted. The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

The committee substitute was withdrawn without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 1424, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Cain; Bernal; Goodwin; Harris, Cody; Kitzman; Thimesch (6).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

SB 1850

 

The chair laid out SB 1850, the companion to House Bill 3945. House Bill 3945 was previously heard and voted out by the committee.

 

The chair moved that SB 1850, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Cain; Bernal; Goodwin; Harris, Cody; Kitzman; Thimesch (6).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).
