Pursuant to a notice posted on May 3, 2023, the House Committee on Agriculture & Livestock met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cain, at 9:36 a.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Cain; Anderson; Bernal; Goodwin; Harris, Cody; Kitzman; Rosenthal; and Thimesch.

SB 1424

 

The chair laid out SB 1424. the companion to House Bill 1545. House Bill 1545 was previously heard and voted out by the committee.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that SB 1424, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
