Pursuant to a notice posted on February 16, 2023, and permission granted on February 22, 2023, to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Appropriations - S/C on Article III met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative VanDeaver, at 8:00 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives VanDeaver; Gervin-Hawkins; Bryant; Isaac; Martinez; Ortega; and Thimesch.
