The Senate suspended the necessary rules to consider and finally pass:

Relating to supplemental appropriations and reductions in appropriations and giving direction and adjustment authority regarding appropriations.

Relating to the preference given by trial courts to hearings and trials for murder and capital murder offenses.

Relating to the designation of fentanyl poisoning for purposes of the death certificate and to the criminal penalties for certain controlled substance offenses; increasing a criminal penalty.

Relating to the declaration of a candidate's ineligibility on the basis of failure to pay a filing fee or submit a petition in lieu of a filing fee.

Relating to the reporting of certain overdose information and the mapping of overdoses for public safety purposes.

The Senate suspended the regular order, read third time and finally passed:

Relating to discrimination against or burdening certain constitutional rights of an applicant for or holder of a license to practice law in this state.

The Senate adopted the following resolutions:

Recognizing March 1, 2023, as Uvalde County Day.

Recognizing March 15, 2023, as Minority Business Enterprise Public Policy Day.

Recognizing March 15, 2023, as Texas Small Business Development Center Day.

The Senate confirmed all nominees as reported by the Committee on Nominations.
