AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the establishment and posting of the maximum loads |
|
|
permitted on certain bridges. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 201.8035, Transportation Code, is |
|
|
amended by adding Subsection (c) to read as follows: |
|
|
(c) The department may post a notice required under |
|
|
Subsection (b) for a bridge under the jurisdiction of a county or a |
|
|
municipality if the department is required or authorized under |
|
|
federal law to post the notice. The notice must be posted in |
|
|
accordance with federal law. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2023. |
