The committee will meet to hear invited testimony from a Texas business leader regarding the Texas business climate and industry trends.

After that, the committee will hear public testimony on the following:

Relating to the right to vacate and avoid liability under a residential lease after a tenant's death.

HB 359         Moody                  
Relating to the employment of certain peace officers, detention officers, county jailers, or firefighters who are injured in the course and scope of duty.

HB 741         Davis, Yvonne           
Relating to the notice of rights provided to an injured employee under the Texas workers' compensation system.

HB 1515        Nevárez                
Relating to the continuation and functions of the State Office of Risk Management.

HB 1665        Patterson              
Relating to certain workers' compensation reporting requirements.

HB 2101        Capriglione            
Relating to the regulation of reroofing contractors; providing administrative and civil penalties; authorizing fees; creating a criminal offense; requiring an occupational registration.

HB 2207        Shine                  
Relating to reimbursement of federal military treatment facilities under the  workers' compensation system.
