Pursuant to a notice posted on January 23, 2019, the House Committee on House Administration met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Geren, at 9:30 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Geren; Howard; Anchia; Flynn; Ortega; Parker; Sanford; Sherman, Sr.; Thierry; and Thompson, Ed.

A quorum was present.

Chairman Geren made opening remarks.

(Representative Anderson, Charles "Doc" now present.)

Vice-Chair Donna Howard moved to grant the Chair the authority to act on the Committee’s behalf in matters involving the management of the general budget, approval of expenditure requests by House members, management of House facilities, coordination with House support personnel, and general enforcement of the House policies and procedures.

The motion prevailed without objection.

Chairman Geren moved to adopt House Committee Budgets for the 86^th Legislative Session.

The motion prevailed without objection.

Chairman Geren directed the Committee Coordinator to prescribe the form of sworn statements, and to move to approve the form of sworn statements, that is both paper and electronic witness affirmation forms, and translator identification forms. Further, we direct the Committee Coordinator to carry out the rest of her duties as described in House Rules.

The motion prevailed without objection.

The Chair named the following members to the Subcommittee on House Policy and Procedures: Representative Donna Howard, Chair, and Representative Scott Sanford.

At 9:37 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
