Pursuant to a notice posted on November 1, 2019, the House Committee on Redistricting met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative King, Phil, at 11:18 a.m.

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives King, Phil; Krause; Leman; Moody; Paddie; Price; Rose; and White.

A quorum was present.

The committee met at Texas State Technical College Cultural Arts Center located at 1825 N Loop 499,  Harlingen, Texas 78550.

Representative Dominguez was also in attendance.

Interim Field Hearing on 2021 Redistricting

The committee heard invited testimony and received a presentation from the Texas State  Demographer and Texas Legislative Council.

Public testimony taken/registration recorded.  (See attached witness list.)

At 1:10 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
