Pursuant to a notice posted on August 13, 2019, revised on August 21, 2019, the House Committee on Redistricting met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative King, Phil, at 4:07 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives King, Phil; Turner, Chris; Cole; Krause; Larson; Leach; Minjarez; Moody; Price; Rose; Walle; and White.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The committee met at Port San Antonio Headquarters, Board Room located at 907 Billy Mitchell Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78226.

 

Representative Steve Allison and Representative Ray Lopez were also in attendance. 

 

Interim Field Hearing on 2021 Redistricting

 

The committee heard invited testimony and received a presentation from the Texas State Demographer and Texas Legislative Council.
