Pursuant to a notice posted on March 6, 2018, the House Committee on Texas Ports, Innovation & Infrastructure, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Deshotel, at 10:04 a.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Deshotel; Paul; Faircloth; Goldman; King, Tracy O.; Morrison, Geanie W.; Ortega; and Rodriguez, Justin.
A quorum was present.
The Chair and other members delivered opening remarks.
The Chair laid out the following charge: Study the structure and duties of the two appointed Pilots Board; ensure there is a balance of representation on the boards of pilot commissioners.
