R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Tara Woods has been named a finalist for the |
|
|
2016-2017 Elementary Teacher of the Year award in the Fort Worth |
|
|
Independent School District; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A solid education is vital for young people to |
|
|
become successful and productive adults, and those men and women |
|
|
who dedicate their careers to teaching make a positive difference |
|
|
in the lives of their students and in the greater community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas Tech University, where she |
|
|
earned a bachelor's degree in multidisciplinary studies, Ms. Woods |
|
|
has worked in the Fort Worth ISD for eight years; she is currently a |
|
|
kindergarten teacher at J. T. Stevens Elementary School and was |
|
|
recently recognized for her outstanding classroom work there by |
|
|
being named the Campus Teacher of the Year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Tara Woods exemplifies the passion, determination, |
|
|
and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of our best teachers, |
|
|
and she has set a standard of excellence to which all in her |
|
|
profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Tara Woods on her selection as a |
|
|
finalist for the 2016-2017 Elementary Teacher of the Year award in |
|
|
the Fort Worth Independent School District and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success with her important work; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Woods as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
