R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Seth Wood of Panhandle High School achieved great |
|
|
distinction by winning the gold medal in the Class 2A boys' long |
|
|
jump at the 2015 University Interscholastic League Track & Field |
|
|
State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 16, Mr. Wood turned in a |
|
|
notable performance, recording a distance of 22 feet, 3.75 inches, |
|
|
to claim first place; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track & field athletes, Seth Wood has ably represented |
|
|
his school, and he will cherish his memories of this outstanding |
|
|
accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Seth Wood on winning the gold medal |
|
|
in the Class 2A boys' long jump at the 2015 UIL Track & Field State |
|
|
Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Wood as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
