R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A 70th birthday is truly cause for celebration, and
  Dr. Gary R. Christman of Kingwood is marking this significant
  milestone on July 14, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Born in 1945 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Gary
  Christman is the son of Harold Christman and Patricia Snively; he
  attended The University of Texas at Austin and graduated from The
  University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 1969; he
  subsequently answered his nation's call to duty as a member of the
  U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, serving as a dentist and rising to
  the rank of captain; and
         WHEREAS, Dr. Christman opened a private dental practice in
  Humble in 1971, and he later established another office in Kingwood
  in 1990; he operated a practice in Vashon Island, Washington, for
  six years, before returning to the Lone Star State, and he is
  currently employed as a general dentist with The University of
  Texas Medical Branch Correctional Managed Care division;
  recognized for his efforts in behalf of his patients, he was named
  the UTMB Dentist of the Year in 2014; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan has given generously of his time
  and talents to his community as president of the Humble Lions Club,
  and he has been honored as a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary
  International; and
         WHEREAS, Married for nearly 40 years, Dr. Christman enjoys
  the love and support of his wife, Theo Ann Ramsey Christman; they
  are the proud parents of five children, Chad Christman and his wife,
  Celia, Clay Christman and his wife, Kim, Paige Langley and her
  husband, Les, Mandi Lutz and her husband, Scott, and Casey
  Christman, and they have known the joy of welcoming grandchildren
  Reece, Royce, and Brooke Christman, Lexie, Rex, Luke, and Hope
  Langley, and Abby, Hud, and Harper Lutz into their cherished
  family; and
         WHEREAS, Respected and admired by all who are privileged to
  know him, Dr. Gary Christman may reflect with great satisfaction on
  a lifetime of achievement, and it is a pleasure to join his many
  friends and loved ones in honoring him on this memorable occasion;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Dr. Gary R. Christman on the
  occasion of his 70th birthday and extend to him sincere best wishes
  for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Dr. Christman as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
