R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Nate Moenning, a senior at Crawford High School, has |
|
|
signed a letter of intent to play baseball and study at Union |
|
|
University in Jackson, Tennessee; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Jim and Heather Moenning, Nate Moenning |
|
|
is a standout member of the Crawford baseball team; he is expected |
|
|
to pitch and play first base for Union University beginning in the |
|
|
fall of 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Moenning was awarded All-District honors for |
|
|
his inspired performance on the diamond, and he was named to the |
|
|
2014 Texas Sports Writers Association 2A All-State Baseball Team as |
|
|
an honorable mention selection at first base; moreover, he also |
|
|
distinguished himself on the gridiron as the kicker and punter for |
|
|
the Crawford Pirates football team, earning a spot on the District |
|
|
8-2A All-District team; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This talented young Texan has pursued his goals with |
|
|
remarkable drive and an unwavering dedication to excellence, and he |
|
|
may take great pride in all that he has accomplished as he looks |
|
|
ahead to a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Nate Moenning on signing a national |
|
|
letter of intent to play for the Union University baseball team and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Moenning as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
