R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the Texas Computer Education Association |
|
|
are gathering in Austin from February 2 through 6, 2015, for the |
|
|
35th annual TCEA Convention and Exposition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established in 1980, TCEA is dedicated to improving |
|
|
teaching and learning through the integration of technology into |
|
|
prekindergarten through 12th grade classes; its membership |
|
|
includes administrators, teachers, students, and community leaders |
|
|
who are united by their shared purpose; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, TCEA contributes to Texas education by advocating |
|
|
for policies that support teachers and administrators; it offers |
|
|
many professional development courses for educators as well as |
|
|
scholarships for students pursuing a career in higher education; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Technology is of ever-increasing importance to |
|
|
students in this information age, and the efforts of TCEA help to |
|
|
ensure that young Texans acquire the knowledge and skills necessary |
|
|
to build a brighter future; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize the Texas Computer Education |
|
|
Association and extend to its members sincere wishes for continued |
|
|
success with their important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for TCEA as an expression of high regard by the Texas House |
|
|
of Representatives. |
