The Senate Committee on Business and Commerce will convene at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday March 19th, 2013, in room E1.016 of the Capitol Extension to take up the following bills for consideration as new business:

Relating to certain authorized investments under the Insurance Code.

Relating to assignment of rents to holders of certain security interests in real property.

Relating to the sale of distilled spirits to ultimate consumers by the holder of a distiller's and rectifier's permit.

Relating to interest on commercial loans.

Relating to the repeal of certain offenses relating to certain occupations regulated by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

SB 1005       Carona                 
Relating to the regulation of money services businesses.

Relating to requirements regarding certain shareholder and policyholder dividends.

SB 1007       Carona                 
Relating to own risk and solvency assessment by insurers and insurance groups; providing a penalty.

SB 1247       Carona                 
Relating to certain extensions of consumer credit facilitated by credit access businesses; providing a civil penalty.

At the Chair's discretion, the Committee may also consider any pending business.
