Pursuant to a notice posted on February 8, 2013, and permission granted on February 11, 2013 to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Lewis, at 3:35 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Lewis; Farney; Gooden; Hernandez Luna; Hunter; King, Ken; Raymond; and Thompson, Senfronia.

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The Chairman discussed committee procedures and organizational information.

 

The Committee heard testimony from a resource witness from Texas Legislative Council regarding the Electronic Witness Affirmation Forms, DropBox, and other iPad applications.

 

At 4:02 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
