AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the monthly fee a defendant must pay during a period of |
|
|
community supervision. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 19, Article 42.12, Code of Criminal |
|
|
Procedure, is amended by adding Subsection (a-1) to read as |
|
|
follows: |
|
|
(a-1) A judge may not require a defendant to pay the fee |
|
|
under Subsection (a) for any month after the period of community |
|
|
supervision has been terminated by the judge under Section 20. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2013. |
|
