R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Honorable Robert T. Dry, Jr., retired as state |
|
|
district judge for the 199th Judicial District Court in April 2012, |
|
|
concluding a distinguished tenure that spanned 14 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Judge Dry earned his bachelor's and law degrees from |
|
|
Southern Methodist University; a respected member of his field, he |
|
|
has served as president of the Collin County Bar Association and |
|
|
president and cofounder of the Plano Bar Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In 1998, this notable Texan became state district |
|
|
judge of the 199th Judicial District, and throughout his terms on |
|
|
the bench, his knowledge and commitment to justice earned him the |
|
|
lasting respect of all who were privileged to work with him; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Judge Dry has been supported in his endeavors by a |
|
|
loving family that includes his wife of more than four decades, |
|
|
DeAnn, and his two sons; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Robert Dry has served the State of Texas with great |
|
|
skill and dedication, and his myriad good works have made a lasting, |
|
|
positive difference in his community; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby recognize the Honorable Robert T. Dry, Jr., for |
|
|
his years of service as a state district judge and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Judge Dry as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
