Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 18, 2011, and granted permission to meet while the House was in session, the House Committee on Pensions, Investments & Financial Services met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Truitt, at 2:18 p.m.

 

The initial quorum call was answered as follows: Representatives Truitt; Creighton; Hernandez Luna; Legler; Nash; and Orr.

 

A quorum was present.


 

HB 2594

 

Representative Nash moved to reconsider all votes previously recorded for HB 2594.  The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

(Representative Veasey now present.)

 

The committee substitute was withdrawn without objection.

 

Representative Truitt offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Nash moved that HB 2594, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                           Representatives Truitt; Creighton; Hernandez Luna; Legler; Nash; Orr; Veasey (7).

 

Nays:                           None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:   None (0).

 

Absent:                        Representatives Anchia; Anderson, Charles "Doc" (2).

 

At 2:21 p.m., on the motion of Representative Legler and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
