Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on
May 9, 2011, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence met in
a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Jackson,
Jim, at 1:42 p.m.
The initial quorum call was answered as follows:
Representatives Jackson, Jim; Lewis; Bohac; Davis, Sarah; Hartnett; Raymond;
Scott; Thompson; and Woolley.
A quorum was present.
The chair directed that the April 28, 2011 minutes
for the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil
Jurisprudence be corrected. The corrected minutes
were authorized without objection.
HB 3123
The chair moved to reconsider all previously
recorded votes on HB 3123.
The motion to reconsider prevailed without
objection.
The committee substitute was withdrawn without
objection.
Representative Jackson, Jim moved that HB 3123,
without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on
Local and Consent Calendars. The motion
prevailed by the following record vote:
