SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 743
         WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
  recognize the Ozark Trail Barbecue Cook-off as a Texas State
  Barbecue Championship competition; and
 
         WHEREAS, The Ozark Trail Barbecue Cook-off in Estelline is
  sanctioned by the International Barbeque Cookers Association;
  and
 
         WHEREAS, The barbecue first began in 2006, and 18 to 20
  teams participated in the competition; and
 
         WHEREAS, Texans are noted for their affinity for barbecue,
  and the Ozark Trail Barbecue Cook-off brings together families,
  friends, and neighbors to sample the wares of the best barbecue
  chefs in the Estelline area; now, therefore, be it
 
         RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 82nd
  Legislature, hereby declare the Ozark Trail Barbecue Cook-off a
  Texas State Barbecue Championship competition and extend best
  wishes to all associated with the event; and, be it further
 
         RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared in
  honor of the Ozark Trail Barbecue Cook-off.
