R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, During the 82nd Legislative Session, Tristan Grady
  Summers of Austin has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in
  the office of State Representative Raul Torres; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Grady and Judy Summers of San Angelo, Mr.
  Summers was raised in Corpus Christi, where he attended Flour Bluff
  schools and excelled as a state-level competitor in University
  Interscholastic League academics; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Summers went on to study business and public
  policy at Howard Payne University, earning recognition as a Hatton
  W. Sumners Scholar and receiving the Accounting Education
  Foundation Award of the Texas Society of Certified Public
  Accountants; during his time at HPU, he served as president of the
  student government and mentored students in the Texas Youth
  Commission state school in Brownwood; and
         WHEREAS, A CPA candidate, Mr. Summers is currently completing
  his master of professional accounting degree at The University of
  Texas at Austin; he plans to begin his career in assurance services
  with PricewaterhouseCoopers of Austin, and he aspires to spend his
  life in service of his family, community, and fellow citizens; and
         WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, he is supported by his
  loving wife, Melissa; the couple, who are expecting their first
  child in December of this year, are active members of Soma Austin
  Community Church; in his leisure time, Mr. Summers also enjoys
  cooking with his wife, woodworking, cycling, listening to music,
  and eating out; and
         WHEREAS, Through his participation in the legislative
  internship program, Tristan Summers has contributed to the work of
  state government while enhancing his knowledge of the legislative
  process and the issues that concern citizens of the Lone Star State,
  and he is indeed deserving of special recognition; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Tristan Grady Summers for his service in
  the office of State Representative Raul Torres and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for continued success in all of his endeavors;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Summers as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
