R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Tony Mize of Mount Pleasant has received the
  Chairman's Award for Special Service from the Titus County
  Republican Party; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Mize was honored for the countless volunteer
  hours that he has spent designing and maintaining the party's
  website and serving as the organization's technical advisor; he has
  also made a notable contribution to the party as the chair of
  Precinct 14 and as a member of the executive committee since 2009;
  and
         WHEREAS, Born in Tyler on November 17, 1966, Mr. Mize grew up
  in Gladewater and Longview and graduated from Pine Tree High
  School; he has worked with the Brookshire Grocery Company for 28
  years and currently serves as store director of the Mount Pleasant
  Brookshire's; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Mize is a respected leader in his community and a
  valued congregant of First Baptist Church; in addition to being
  politically active, he has volunteered his time with projects such
  as the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Mize enjoys the support
  and encouragement of Lisa, his wife of 24 years, and their three
  daughters, Kimberly, Kristina, and Kacie; and
         WHEREAS, Tony Mize has distinguished himself through his hard
  work and dedication in behalf of the Titus County Republican Party,
  and he is indeed worthy of recognition for his exemplary public
  spirit; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Tony Mize on his receipt of the
  Chairman's Award for Special Service and extend to him sincere best
  wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Mize as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
