R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Members of the National Association of Insurance and |
|
|
|
Financial Advisors-Texas (NAIFA-Texas) are gathering in Austin on |
|
|
|
February 1, 2011, for their legislative day at the Capitol; and |
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded in 1925, NAIFA-Texas, formerly known as the |
|
|
|
Texas Association of Life Underwriters, is composed of more than |
|
|
|
3,000 members statewide; the group's mission is to advocate for a |
|
|
|
positive legislative and regulatory environment, enhance business |
|
|
|
and professional skills, and promote the ethical conduct of its |
|
|
|
members; and |
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The association currently benefits from the |
|
|
|
leadership and expertise of president Cylinda Clark, political |
|
|
|
involvement chairs Lane Boozer, LUTCF, and Kirk Haworth, CLU, ChFC, |
|
|
|
and the board of directors, who represent 287 years of association |
|
|
|
membership; and |
|
|
|
WHEREAS, NAIFA-Texas is a vital group of professionals who |
|
|
|
consistently work in behalf of consumers and businesses to advance |
|
|
|
financial independence and reliable insurance, and its legislative |
|
|
|
day provides a fitting opportunity to recognize its members and |
|
|
|
congratulate the organization on its 86th anniversary; now, |
|
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
|
Legislature hereby welcome members of the National Association of |
|
|
|
Insurance and Financial Advisors-Texas to the State Capitol on the |
|
|
|
occasion of NAIFA-Texas' legislative day and commend its membership |
|
|
|
for the association's long and impressive history of achievements; |
|
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
|
prepared for the association as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
