R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, For 25 years, Deputy Sergeant Natividad Guerrero has
  served his fellow Texans as a member of the El Paso County Sheriff's
  Office; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of his exemplary tenure, "Nati"
  Guerrero has distinguished himself in a variety of positions; he
  initially worked as a detention officer and then as a floor control
  officer before becoming a member of the office's first Special
  Reaction Team, which is tasked with responding to emergency
  situations in the county jail; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding public servant was then promoted to
  deputy sheriff and assigned to the Upper Valley Patrol Station; he
  was an instructor with the Sheriff's Office Training Academy and a
  member of the office's first motor unit, and after earning
  promotion to sergeant, he worked with the Metro Narcotics Task
  Force; he is currently assigned to the internal affairs division,
  and is one of two original members still serving on the Special
  Weapons and Tactics team; and
         WHEREAS, In May 2011, Deputy Sergeant Guerrero was recognized
  for his quarter-century of outstanding service with a certificate
  of appreciation from the Military Order of the World Wars; and
         WHEREAS, Nati Guerrero's dedication, discipline, and bravery
  have long benefited area residents, and he may indeed take pride in
  the important role he plays in ensuring the safety and welfare of El
  Paso County; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby commend Deputy Sergeant
  Natividad Guerrero for his 25 years of service with the El Paso
  County Sheriff's Office and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success and happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Deputy Sergeant Guerrero as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
