| The Committee will take testimony from the appropriate State agencies in |
|
| relation to the following interim charges: |
|
|
| Interim Charge 1: Monitor the implementation of the Department of Justice |
|
| settlement agreement, SB 643 (81R), and other reforms to services for |
|
| persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. |
|
|
| Interim Charge 4: Monitor the Health and Human Services Commission's |
|
| progress toward improving the timeliness of Supplemental Nutrition |
|
| Assistance Program eligibility determinations. Evaluate the impact of |
|
| corrective measures already taken by the Commission. |
|
|
| Interim Charge 6: Monitor the agencies and programs under the Committee's |
|
| jurisdiction-- The Committee will hear testimony from the Department of |
|
| Aging and Disability Services related to the current status of backlogs in |
|
| the nursing home complaint investigation process. |
|
|
| Public testimony will be taken on the subjects listed above. The Committee |
|
| respectfully asks that prepared remarks be limited to 3 minutes in |
|
|
|
