Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs & Military Installations was held on Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Senator Van de Putte's Desk.

The chair called the meeting to order at 3:24 p.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

The subcommittee report on HJR 132 was laid out by Senator Shapleigh.  Senator Shapleigh was recognized to explain the subcommittee report on HJR 132.  Senator Van de Putte then moved adoption of the subcommittee report; there being no objection, it was so ordered. 

 

Senator Shapleigh moved that HJR 132 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion carried with a record vote of 5 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. 

 

At 3:25 p.m. Senator Van de Putte moved that the committee stand recessed until subject to call of the chair; without objection, it was so ordered.
