Pursuant to a notice posted on March 13, 2009, and revised on March 19, 2009, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pitts, at 9:33 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

A quorum was present.

 

HB 6

 

The chair laid out HB 6 as pending business.

 

The chair laid out a substitute to HB 6.

 

(Representative Isett now present.)

 

The chair recognized Representative Eiland to explain the measure.

 

The chair laid out Amendment 1.

 

The chair recognized Representative Isett to explain the amendment.

The chair laid out Amendment 2.

 

The chair recognized Chairman Pitts to explain the amendment.

Representative Raymond moved that the committee substitute to HB 6 be adopted.  The motion was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Raymond moved the adoption of Ammendment 1 to the committee substitute.  The motion was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Aycock moved the adoption of Ammendment 2 to the committee substitute.  The motion was adopted without objection.

 

The chair directed the staff to incorporate the amendments into a committee substitute.

 

Representative Raymond moved that HB 6, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and placed on the General Calendar. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
