Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 24, 2007, the House Committee on Pensions & Investments met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Truitt, at 8:49 p.m.


The roll was answered as follows:


Present:              Representatives Truitt; Keffer, Jim; Macias; Rodriguez (4).


Absent:              Representatives Villarreal; McClendon; Burnam (3).


A quorum was present.


Representative Rodriguez moved that the March 27, 2007 minutes for the House Committee on Pensions & Investments be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.


HB 3355


The chair laid out HB 3355.


Representative Rodriguez offered a complete committee substitute.


The committee substitute was adopted without objection.


(Representative Villarreal now present.)


Representative Rodriguez moved that HB 3355, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:


Ayes:                             Representatives Truitt; Villarreal; Keffer, Jim; Macias; Rodriguez (5).


Nays:                             None (0).


Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).


Absent:                          Representatives McClendon; Burnam  (2).






At 8:53 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned

subject to the call of the chair.
