Pursuant to a notice posted on March 18, 2008, and revised on March 25, 2008, the House Committee on Local Government Ways & Means met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hill, at 10:01 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hill; Elkins; Howard, Charlie; Quintanilla; Villarreal (5).

 

Absent:              Representative Creighton (1).

 

A quorum was present.

 

The chair laid out interim charges #4B and #3.
