Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 5, 2007, the House Committee on Higher Education met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Morrison, at 11:25 a.m.

Absent:              Representatives McCall; Alonzo; Aycock (3).

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 2198 as pending business.

Representative Brown, Fred moved that HB 2198, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Morrison; Brown, Fred; Alonzo; Aycock; Giddings; Howard, Donna; Patrick; Rose (8).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).
