Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18, 2007, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pena, at 1:22 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

A quorum was present.

 

The chair directed that the May 8, 2007, minutes for the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

The chair laid out SB 1622 as pending business.

 

The chair recognized Representative Howard, Donna to explain the measure.

 

The chair moved that SB 1622, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
