Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 17, 2007, the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Madden, at 12:08 p.m.


The roll was answered as follows:


Present:              Representatives Madden; Hochberg; McReynolds; Dunnam; Jones, Delwin (5).


Absent:              Representatives Haggerty; Oliveira (2).


A quorum was present.




The chair laid out SB1741 as pending business.


Representative Hochberg moved that SB1741, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:


Ayes:                             Representatives Madden; Hochberg; McReynolds; Dunnam (4).


Nays:                             Representative Jones, Delwin (1).


Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).


Absent:                          Representatives Haggerty; Oliveira  (2).


At 12:09 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
