AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to information displayed on a disabled parking placard. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 681.0031(b), Transportation Code, is |
|
|
amended to read as follows: |
|
|
(b) The county assessor-collector shall record [the first
|
|
|
four digits of the number followed by the initials of the applicant] |
|
|
on any disabled parking placard issued to the applicant the |
|
|
following information in the following order: |
|
|
(1) the county number assigned by the comptroller to |
|
|
the county issuing the placard; |
|
|
(2) the first four digits of the applicant's driver's |
|
|
license number; and |
|
|
(3) the applicant's initials. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act applies only to a disabled parking |
|
|
placard issued on or after the effective date of this Act. |
|
|
SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2007. |
