Amend CSHB 1892 by adding the following SECTION to the bill, 
appropriately numbered, and renumbering existing SECTIONS 
accordingly:
	SECTION ____.  Subchapter A. Chapter 284, Transportation 
Code, is amended by adding Section 284.010 to read as follows:
	Sec. 284.010.  CONTRACTOR CONTRIBUTIONS PROHIBITED.  (a)  A 
person who enters, or may enter, into a contract with a county under 
this chapter may not make a political contribution to a person who 
is a commissioner or county judge of the county or who is a 
candidate for the office of commissioner or county judge of the 
county.
	(b)  A person who violates Subsection (a) commits an offense 
that is a Class A misdemeanor.
	(c)  If conduct that constitutes an offense under this 
section also constitutes an offense under another law of this 
state, the actor may be prosecuted under this section or the other 
law.
