The Senate Committee on Transportation and Homeland Security will hold a
public hearing on Wednesday, July 26, at 9 a.m. in the City Hall located
at 1201 E. 8th St., Mission, TX.  The committee will hear testimony
regarding Interim Charge 7: Monitor ongoing federal, state and local effort
along the Texas Mexico border to combat criminal activity and prevent
illegal border crossings.  Study other border state activities in regard to
the safety, efficiency and security of border crossings.  Include an
assessment of the impact of security measures on trade, vehicular and
pedestrian commerce.

Written testimony will be accepted and may be to any length and detail;
oral testimony is limited to three minutes with the exception of questions
from Committee Members.
