The committee will meet in a public hearing at the Houston City Council
Chamber, 2nd floor, City Hall, 901 Bagby Street, Houston, Texas to
consider testimony on the following interim charge:

Explore the benefits and concerns associated with Municipal Utility
Districts (MUDs), including an assessment of the appropriateness of
granting districts the additional powers of other special disticts.
Evaluate the impact of MUDs on economic growth and development, as well as
the overall tax implications, including an evaluation of the provision of
municipal and county services on residents living in MUDs.  Review public
disclosure and notification requirements associated with MUDs, as well as
bonding authority of some districts.

Invited testimony will be followed by public testimony.
